| Circuit City to Enter Used Game Biz
The re-selling of used games has been the stable of EB Games and GameStop for years, and while retailers like Best Buy have experimented with the concept, it's never really caught on anywhere else. Circuit City, however, is the latest to start dabbling, according to Cheap Ass Gamer. They've noticed CircuitCity.com has used game listings (i.e. Wii, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360) for pretty much any console you'd care about except Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS, but if the practice proves successful for Circuit City, expect to see them added. Cheap Ass Gamer remains unimpressed with the discounted prices -- Rayman: Raving Rabids for Wii, for example, is only $45.99, compared to its typical $49.99 price tag for a new copy -- but considering many next-generation releases aren't even available used online yet, the few dollars could make the difference to some.
Super Mario gets his own mobile game
Er.. but it's not strictly sanctioned by Nintendo, as far as I can make out. Mobario is one of the games being offered by new ad-funded mobile games site Hovr, which lets users download games for free, as long as they don't mind viewing adverts before and after playing. Anyway, Mobario stars a plump plumber who has to run along a bunch of colourful platform levels, collecting coins, bashing blocks, jumping on turtles and snagging bonus mushrooms. Sound familiar? The game is developed by Aquajava - you can download it here. Nintendo hasn't so far licensed any of its famous characters out for mobile versions, so it remains to be seen what they think of someone else doing the job for them. That said, the Hovr service itself is pretty good, since besides the free games, it also offers social networking aspects, such as creating a profile and comparing high scores with other users.
Cowboys host Lobos in Brown's finale
Wyoming center Daaron Brown will look to make his lasting memory of the Arena-Auditorium a positive -- and injury-free -- one when the Cowboys host New Mexico in the regular season finale for both schools today.Brown, the Cowboys' lone senior, aggravated a back injury in a home loss to Utah last season and missed Wyoming's final 11 games. This season, Brown missed six games due to a sprained ankle he suffered late in a home win over Colorado State on Jan. 24."It's been frustrating for him," Wyoming head coach Steve McClain said. "Every time you kind of feel like he was in a rhythm, something bad would happen. He knows, like everybody knows, it affects the whole team. Hopefully he can have a great senior day."McClain said the injuries especially affected Brown's conditioning and prevented him from fully realizing his potential after transferring from Compton (Calif.) Community College before his junior season.
YouTube, Facebook Spark Copycats, Bubble Fear in Silicon Valley
Feb. 23 (Bloomberg) -- A murmur of recognition ripples through the standing-room-only crowd at San Francisco's Commonwealth Club of California as Mark Zuckerberg steps on stage. He looks like your average college kid, in his green Urban Outfitters T-shirt, jeans and Adidas flip-flops. Yet Zuckerberg, 22, is royalty to the Webheads who have assembled on this cool November evening to hear him speak on ``Defining the Self in a Virtual World.'' Zuckerberg is founder and chief executive officer of Facebook Inc., a three-year-old social networking Web site that's exploded into an online hub for more than 17 million young people. Last fall, Yahoo! Inc. offered to buy Facebook for $1 billion -- conjuring up a specter that last haunted Silicon Valley during the late 1990s: a technology bubble.

Alabama Crimson Tide = B-If only Alabama could've held onto a six-point overtime lead Wednesday at Tennessee, this mark surely would've been an "A." Instead, the Crimson Tide fell one game behind in the Southeastern Conference Western Division. Alabama started the week with a dominant, 11-point home win Saturday over Kentucky, in which Richard Hendrix had team-highs of 16 points and nine rebounds.Arkansas Razorbacks = C-The Hogs' road woes just keep persisting. Yet again, Arkansas showed up flat and lost to an opponent of inferior talent. The Razorbacks' eight-point loss Wednesday at Auburn dropped them into a tie for last place in the SEC West. Patrick Beverley led Arkansas to a 17-point home victory Saturday over Ole Miss with a game-high 24 points.Auburn Tigers = C+By no means did Auburn play pretty basketball Wednesday night.
