* Peru's inability to get to the free throw line hurt it all year, and it cost the Tigers a potential sectional victory. The Tigers do drive to the basket with regularity, but they either a.) pull up for the short jumper or b.) dish off to someone who is open after the defense collapses into the lane. Neither of these things are necessarily bad, but when you could surely draw a foul by going all the way to the basket and initiating contact while you have the ball, more often than not you are going to want to do that. Too many times the Tigers do not take it all the way to the basket. If those outside shots are falling, which they were for Peru early in Friday's game, the point is a moot one. But when the team is struggling from the field, as it was in the second half, the ability to get to the free throw line, get a breather and be able to develop a shooting rhythm can pay dividends for a team that is on the ropes.

McLEANSBORO - Jacob Deisher said he really didn't have much of a choice Friday night in the championship of the Hamilton County Sectional.Down one with under 30 seconds to play at a spirited Hamilton County High School in McLeansboro, Mount Carmel's 6-foot-4 junior didn't want to add to the Golden Aces' 57-year sectional title drought as he approached the rim. His 6-foot runner just past Vienna's 6-11 center proved to be the winning bucket in Mount Carmel's 51-50 nail-biter over the Eagles.

MUMBAI: At the Cartoon Network Upfront event held in New York, Cartoon Network announced its programming line-up for 2007. Following the launches of Class of 3000; Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends original movie, "Good Wilt Hunting;" and the network's first-ever live-action movie, Re-Animated, Cartoon Network has announced five new original series in 2007.
The network also showed a sneak peek of its previously announced Massively Multi-Player Game, scheduled for 2008, and also introduced a new after school franchise called Master Control, allowing kids to choose what they want to watch starting in the late summer. .
