| RedLightCenter: Making money out of sex
MMORPG games are getting old or it seems to some users. We are now on the verge of having another genre explosion appropriately known as multi-user online realities. To tell you the truth, Linden's Second Life is kind of bordering on this one. It's a user's second life, alright, but there are no monsters to kill. No missions to accomplish. More than a game, it is actually a reality. There is another one called RedLightCenter. Unlike Second Life, which occasionally gets a doze of violence and sex, this one is all about those things, add to that, drugs. Utherverse Inc. CEO Brian Shuster, owner of the said MMOR, mentioned that the formula for success is rather a simple one: Sex is something everyone can participate in. By starting our first virtual world with that, we've overcome a major problem.

In a tiny corner of China, a gamblers' paradise spawns glitzy, ritzy, gargantuan casinos
MACAU -- This small city-states transition from sleepy Portuguese colonial backwater to insomniac Asian Las Vegas, where the dice roll hot and Chinas new elite play is well advanced, but not complete. Nearly 450 years of Portuguese rule have left a strong impression on the southern Chinese landscape, a hallmark that Macaus new rulers, the casino magnates bustling in from Nevada, Hong Kong and Macau itself, have yet to fully erase. Made up of two islands and a peninsula on the edge of China, Macau is place where it is hard to escape numbers -- be they roulette-table odds, figures issued by gambling conglomerates detailing their plans for the enclave, or the dollar earnings figures from the tables in its casinos. The sleepier side to the enclave is still around; you just have to look harder.
TranSouth Women's Basketball: Union handles Lambuth for spot in ...
Union was too much for Lambuth during a TranSouth Conference Women's Tournament semifinal at Fred DeLay Gymnasium Friday night. The No. 5 Lady Bulldogs were simply too tall, too strong and too fast. And following the 97-74 blowout win over the No. 19 Lady Eagles, Union advanced to its 15th conference championship game in 16 years. .
High-Flying Sabres Take Top Spot
Dainius Zubrus was acquired at the trade deadline to help put the Buffalo Sabres over the top. He could only watch as the high-flying Sabres outlasted the Montreal Canadiens in an 8-5 win on Friday night to take over the top spot in the league with 91 points, passing idle Nashville.Zubrus was held without a point in his Sabres debut, but it didn't matter. Acquired from Washington in a trade deadline deal Tuesday, Zubrus was more impressed with Buffalo's high-octane offense than his own play. That offense leads the league in goals, and has scored five or more times in each of the past five games."I didn't realize how fast this game can be," Zubrus said. "I talked to the coach before and he said we play at a high pace. They jump and they go to score goals. I think now I'll know a little bit more what to expect."Michael Ryan scored his first two NHL goals, Thomas Vanek also had two goals, and Derek Roy had a goal and three assists in the win.
