Garner To Orient's Rescue

Orient held off Swansea City in a bad tempered and often dull affair at the Liberty Stadium. The O`s were reduced to ten men when Adam Chambers received his second yellow card of the afternoon but somehow managed to hang on against Roberto Martinez`s side.

A lot of the credit should go to Glyn Garner who performed heroics in the Orient goal whilst Swansea were often their own worst enemy as they wasted a whole host of chances.

The O`s failed to click into gear as an attacking force for most of the game although Shane Tudor might have hoped to have done better with his second half effort.

In the end a point was a good reward for an O`s side that battled bravely against an inventive Swansea side that lacked the real killer instinct. The combination of Robinson and Craney at the heart of the home side`s midfield cause consternation for the Orient midfield and it was Craney that wasted the opening chance for his side.

New Missouri Wildlife Code book features a few changes in 2007

It comes in many colors and arrives with the hint of spring. It doesn't have colored pictures but the information needs to be gleaned. This year it is gold, and it can be picked up for free at any Conservation Department regional office or permit vendor in the state. The gold item is the 2007 Wildlife Code book.

Tobey joins dark side

THERE'S a memorable moment in The Good German when the usually squeaky-clean, baby-faced Tobey Maguire turns shockingly nasty. The quivery, child-like voice is still there but instead of projecting the lovable vulnerability that Maguire has made his trademark in films like Spider-Man and The Cider House Rules, it is full of ego and malice.

In director Steven Soderbergh's homage to film noir set in post-war Berlin, Maguire plays Tully, a low-level and low-life GI operating more illegal scams than the army has jeeps.

It's a dark and surprising role for Maguire, with his unlikeable character subjecting his German femme fatale girlfriend, played by Cate Blanchett, to a beating and rough sex and also violently attacking the film's American war correspondent good guy, played by George Clooney.

Interview: Clipse

Despite being one of the best albums to come out last year, Hell Hath No Fury has underperformed in the sales department. Clipse, however, are undeterred. In 2007, they are maintaining Hell Hath's almost scary lyrical focus and applying it to their work ethic. The next few months hold a huge tour, plus the release of Volume 3 of their acclaimed We Got It 4 Cheap mixtape series and, later, a movie musical version of Hell Hath No Fury. Pitchfork caught up with elder Thornton brother Malice recently to talk about the duo's future plans. We also discussed their writing process, their relationships with high school buddies the Neptunes and Timbaland, their highly publicized beef with Lil Wayne, and Malice's listening habits. And we'd never have thought to compare Clipse to the Grateful Dead, but Malice did.

GAME REVIEW: Famed dinosaur hunter returns in 'Turok'

It's been several years since we last had a visit from the famed dinosaur hunter Joseph Turok, but that wait is nearing an end with the looming arrival of Propaganda's reinvention of "Turok." A lot has happened with the title since we visited the development studio last year, so we pulled studio general manager Josh Holmes away from his game long enough to ask him how the title is progressing.

"What we've really been focusing on is tuning and polishing the core experience, and making sure we're really paying off the combat and shooting experience with dinosaurs and humans - being able to use the dinosaurs as weapons and all the luring that we had put out there as our big key features," Holmes said.

This new, darker "Turok" plays as a first-person action title with strong ties to everything from survival/horror to stealth games.

THQ Ships Zoey 101 for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance

THQ announces that Zoey 101 for the Game Boy Advance has shipped to retail outlets throughout North America. Based on the Nickelodeon live-action TV series, the game allows players to interact with their favorite characters from the show. Zoey 101 is rated "E" for everyone.

Mirroring the storylines of the first two seasons of the show, the game begins at the start of a new school year at the formerly all-boys Pacific Coast Academy and title character Zoey Brooks, played by Jamie Lynn Spears, has her work cut out for her. As the battle of the sexes wages on and neither side is talking to each other, it is up to the player to help Zoey bring the boys and girls together for an awesome end-of-the-year bash. Players can interact with all the characters from the TV show and engage in dozens of replayable minigames including dance-offs, sports and scooter races.

Capsule movie reviews

"The Abandoned" (R) A film producer (Anastasia Hille) returns to her native Russia and the family farm. Once there, strange things begin to happen. Not available for review.

"Amazing Grace" (PG) Even if you know the words to the famous hymn, you probably don't know who was lost, the "wretch" who was saved, the man who wrote it. And you don't know how he, and his song, changed the world. This is story of how William Wilberforce (Ioan Gruffudd) and a handful of other Quaker activists persuaded a reluctant British Parliament to abolish the slave trade. It is Hollywood-slick, a polished British period-piece. It manipulates, but then again, so does the song that gives it its title. And movies, like hymns and history, should give us a good cry, every now and again.

"The Astronaut Farmer" (PG) The movie is the story of Charlie Farmer (Billy Bob Thornton) -- cattle rancher, father of three, visionary and full-time head case.
